Windsurfing: Felixstowe dip Wind Direction: SSW Wind Stength: F 4- 5 Surf / Sea State: chop / waves Air Temperature: cool Sea Temperature: cool Weather: iffy Max Speed: 25.45 (knots - unless stated otherwise) Distance Covered: 2 hrs ish (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise)
So many people sneaking off work on a forecast rigged by 4.30 Mistral
Synchro / 6.2 NP Tempo.
7 or so out but Pete / Peter/ Chris packing up after a long early afternoon
session. Most on 5.0M and wind was mostly F5, so had all the power I
needed. I picked a great 2 hours as the tide went out, there were some
great rollers breaking way out. Problem hamstring stopped my jumping off
some huge faces, but riding in was great - another 5 star evening session.
The sea went a bit flat at the end, and the rollers were too close to the
beach as the tide went further out.
Dropped too many gybes today, as miss timed so many waves, was frustrating.
Lord Swain turned up but his 6.0 North / Fanatic Slalom was way too fast
for a wave day. Had a burn up with him, which shagged his arms! Switching
boards - another Fanatic speed machine didn't help, so he skulked off home
saying he had a crap sail. (don’t know why as he had a great view of my
arse :)
Lord Swain needs a smaller sail me thinks. GPS went flat no mileage data,
but good session with loads of kites also out. Darren Maker & co came off
the water in pretty much darkness, and worst Maker had to find the combo
numbers to lock up in total darkness!
Finished off with Steam / Jacuzzi – it don’t get no better :)
